Common Errors
Key Takeaway
Most errors clear on their own: "Could not load agent" and "Rate limited" resolve on retry, "Unauthorized" just means your session expired, and "Campaign auto-paused" needs a quick look at bounce or complaint data before you resume.
Here's what each common error actually means, and the fastest fix.
Error reference
"Could not load agent"
Where: Home
Cause: The request to load your agent's status failed.
Fix: Click retry. If it keeps happening, check your connection or refresh the page.
"Rate limited, too many requests"
Where: Any page or API call
Cause: You've hit the API rate limit of 100 requests per minute.
Fix: Wait 60 seconds and try again. This limit exists to keep the service stable for everyone.
"Campaign auto-paused"
Where: Goal page or activity feed
Cause: Bounce rate or spam complaint rate crossed the threshold, but only after enough volume (at least 10 sends on Trial or 50 on Pro/Ultra). The bounce check also needs at least 3 actual bounces, while a single spam complaint can pause sending once past that volume floor.
Fix: Review the flagged addresses, clean up the list, then resume the campaign from its goal.
"Email sending failed"
Where: Activity feed or agent status
Cause: Usually a temporary email service hiccup or a configuration issue.
Fix: Check Settings > Email for your @leadclaw.io address. Still broken? Email support@leadclaw.io.
"Agent provisioning failed"
Where: After onboarding or a resume
Cause: Rare infrastructure hiccup creating your agent's server.
Fix: Wait 5 minutes and try again. If it keeps failing, email support@leadclaw.io.
"Unauthorized"
Where: Any page, usually after being idle
Cause: Your session expired.
Fix: Sign in again. Nothing was lost, sessions just expire for security.
Rate limits, for reference
The 100 requests per minute limit applies across the app. It's rarely something a normal workflow hits, it mostly protects against scripts or runaway automation hammering the API.
