Email Delivery Issues
Key Takeaway
A high bounce or complaint rate can auto-pause a campaign, but only after real volume: at least 10 sends on Trial or 50 on Pro and Ultra, and at least 3 actual bounces. A single bounce out of 20 emails will not pause anything.
Most delivery problems fall into one of three buckets: bounces, spam complaints, or slow volume. Here's how to read each one.
High bounce rate
Why it happens
- A lead's email address changed after it was verified
- A company mail server is temporarily down
- The address was valid but the mailbox is now full
The auto-pause floor
A campaign only auto-pauses on bounces once it has real send volume behind it: at least 10 sends on Trial, or 50 on Pro and Ultra, and at least 3 actual bounces. One bounce out of your first 20 emails won't trigger anything. It's there to protect your sender reputation once the sample size is meaningful.
What to do
- Open a campaign from its goal on the Goals page
- Review bounced leads on your Leads page
- Remove or update invalid addresses
- Resume the campaign once the list is cleaned up
Emails going to spam
Prevention already built in
- SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication are enforced on every send
- Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link
- A physical address is included in every footer
- Content is checked for spam trigger words before it goes out
If it happens anyway
The same volume floor applies to spam complaints as bounces (10 sends on Trial, 50 on Pro and Ultra). Unlike bounces, complaints have no minimum count: a single spam complaint can pause sending once past that volume floor. If you do hit it:
- Review your email content for pushy language
- Check that your value proposition actually fits the audience you're reaching
- Consider narrowing your targeting
Email configuration problems
If your agent can't send at all:
- Go to Settings > Email
- Confirm your @leadclaw.io address is set up correctly
- If you just changed your email prefix, give it a few minutes to propagate
- Still stuck? Email support@leadclaw.io
Slow email delivery
Your agent sends up to your plan's daily limit each day (Trial 10, Pro 50, Ultra 150). If volume looks lower than that, it's usually because fewer verified leads matched your target audience that day, not a delivery bug. Widening your target audience gives your agent more to work with.
Still having issues?
Email support@leadclaw.io with your campaign name, current bounce or complaint rate, your @leadclaw.io address, and anything unusual in your activity feed. Pro gets email support, and Ultra adds priority handling with a 24 hour response target.

Campaign Limits & Best Practices
Campaign limits set daily email caps by plan and the bounce and spam thresholds that auto-pause a campaign, so you know what your agent can send each day.
Email Verification
Email verification runs every lead address through ZeroBounce before outreach, sending only to valid addresses so your bounce rate stays under the 2% threshold.
