How Onboarding Works

Key Takeaway

Onboarding is a quick 3-step wizard: your business, your assistant, and your first goal. When you finish, LeadClaw sets up a dedicated AI agent for you in a couple of minutes.

When you sign up, a short 3-step wizard sets up your AI agent. It takes a few minutes, and you can change anything later from Settings.

The 3 steps

Step 1: Business

Enter your business name, type (like Plumbing or Marketing Agency), and location. If you have a website, the AI scans it and fills in your services and description automatically. Everything it pulls in is yours to edit.

Step 2: Assistant

Give your agent a name and choose the email address it sends from. Its writing tone starts out professional. You can shape that voice later in Brand voice under Settings, where you describe the tone in your own words and see sample drafts.

Step 3: Goal

Set your first goal, like booking 10 roofing inspections in Dallas. Then pick the channels your agent should work: cold email, paid ads, social content, or a mix. Your agent plans the tactics under that goal.

What happens next

When you finish the goal step, LeadClaw sets up a dedicated agent just for you. This takes a few minutes. Once it's ready, your agent comes online and shows up on your Home page.

From there you can chat with it, watch it start working your goal, and connect any social or ad accounts you want it to use. Hot lead alerts and the weekly report arrive by email on Pro and Ultra.

Tip: You can update your business profile, your agent's name, and its tone anytime from Settings.
